In 2006, the IJ student council, which was formerly known as the Prefectorial Board, was established to meet the needs of the student body.

Our Councillors are:
* servant leaders first.
* motivated to guide and lead, with the help of God, to serve with humble sincerity that brings out the best in those we serve.
* leaders who want to empower those we lead to make a change for a better school and community.
* ambassadors of the school.
